Below is the original strip using this gag, which originally ran 13 years ago in my college newspaper. Whenever I re-use a gag, I plan to publish the original as well, because I think it's kind of interesting to see the evolution. I think the new strip does a much better job at getting the joke across. The art's slightly improved, too.
